Low slope roofs fail almost always for the same two reasons: water pooling because the surface was never sloped correctly toward a drain, or a seam and flashing detail that was rushed instead of properly sealed. The membrane itself is rarely the problem.
We see this most on additions built after the original house, porch roofs tucked under a steeper roofline, and older commercial-style flat sections that were patched instead of properly replaced.
The solution: the right membrane, properly sloped and sealed

EPDM (rubber membrane)
A black synthetic rubber membrane with decades of proven performance. Seams are joined with adhesive seam tape. A reliable, cost-effective choice, especially where the roof isn’t highly visible.
TPO (heat-welded membrane)
A white, energy-reflective membrane. Seams are heat-welded into a single fused sheet rather than taped, which many homeowners prefer for long-term seam durability.
Correct slope, not just a new membrane
Where drainage is the real problem, we install tapered insulation to actually direct water off the roof — not just lay a new membrane over the same flat pitch that caused the ponding in the first place.
Our process
Tear-off and deck inspection
We remove the old membrane and check the deck for rot or trapped moisture before anything new goes down.
Slope and drainage correction
Tapered insulation goes in where needed so water actually moves toward a drain instead of pooling.
Membrane installation
EPDM or TPO is fully adhered or mechanically fastened per manufacturer spec, sized to minimize seams.
Seaming and welding
TPO seams are hot-air welded; EPDM seams are adhered with seam tape — both inspected for a full, continuous bond.
Flashing and terminations
Every penetration, wall termination, and drain is properly flashed so water can’t work underneath the membrane.
Final inspection and walkthrough
We inspect every seam and edge, then walk the finished roof with you before calling the job done.
